Awarded by Mellitah Oil & Gas B.V., the Wellhead Platform A (WHPA) and Fast Moving Workover Rig (FMWR) project represents a USD 1.4 billion investment and one of the most significant EPIC developments currently underway in the Mediterranean offshore area.

The project is executed through a non-incorporated consortium led by KLN Project, combining offshore operations with onshore activities.
As Consortium Leader, we manage the full lifecycle, from project management and engineering to offshore installation, ensuring integration across technical, operational, and logistics functions.

The scope includes the development of the WHPA (jacket and topside), and a Fast Moving Workover Rig (FMWR) designed to increase energy production capacity up to a scale and complexity at state of the art offshore infrastructure.
Execution spans on a global footprint.

Reengineering Circular Value at Itelyum Ceccano

At KLN Project, we turn process complexity into measurable industrial performance. The revamping of the Itelyum regeneration plant in Ceccano, Italy, is a clear example of how targeted engineering can strengthen both operational efficiency and circular economy impact.
Between 2023 and 2025, we partnered with Itelyum S.p.A. to upgrade the hydrofinishing section dedicated to vacuum cuts, a critical phase in the regeneration of used mineral oils. The intervention focused on improving process stability, contaminant removal, and the quality of regenerated base oils through the integration of advanced hydrogenation and gas purification technologies.

The project included:

• A new hydrogenation reactor
• Hydrogen compression systems
• An amine-based recycle gas purification unit

These upgrades enable tighter process control and higher regeneration performance, supporting the production of high-quality regenerated bases aligned with Group I+ and Group II+ standards.
Working as a fully integrated team with the client, we managed the project end-to-end across planning, engineering, cost control, and risk management, ensuring execution speed without compromising precision or long-term operability.
More than a plant upgrade, the project reinforces a scalable industrial model where engineering performance and environmental responsibility move forward together.
